Senior Teacher, Pamela Young
Pamela Young, South Lanarkshire & Glasgow, Scotland
Pamela started teaching yoga in 2006, attending workshops and trainings with many teachers including Ana Forrest, Donna Farhi, Michael Gannon, Matthew Sweeney, Sri Ramaswami, Venkatesh, David Keil, Basia Lipska, Kino MacGregor, Hamish Hendry, Richard Freeman, Manju Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy. On a trip to London in 2014, she attended a class with John and knew immediately she had found her teacher. Intrigued by the counted method, she signed up for a retreat a few weeks later, then TT1 and TT2 that same year with John, Lucy, Greg and David.
As well as having an honours degree in Philosophy from the University of Glasgow, Pamela has over 20 years experience as an advanced teacher, educator, mentor and assessor within the health and fitness industry. She is an enthusiastic triathlete and completed her first Ironman triathlon in Barcelona in October 2015, crediting her success to the techniques learned in yoga. Pamela has also studied natural nutrition and holds certificates in plant based Sports Nutrition and Elite Sports Nutrition.
Pamela has a fun and playful approach to her teaching, always encouraging students to be adventurous and courageous on their mats, and in their lives.
